Obelisk Thieves

Someone is making off with a giant stone obelisk. An object that declares the presence of mankind on a landscape like a molehill declares moles or the itchy bumps on bare skin declare the presence of bloodsucking parasites.

I hope that Mr Pratchett will forgive my flagrant abuse of copyright. This is a monster from the fairy world that Tiffany Aching comes across during her adventures in 'the Wee Free Men'. The Nac Mac Feegle (pictured below) call it a drome and it likes to trap people in dreams before eating them.
